Animal Allies volunteers work to rescue lost, abandoned, or stray animals and find loving homes for them if possible. All animals in our system are vetted to check for disease and spayed and neutered to stop the cycle of unwanted animals.
http://www.HART90.org/ Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) is a no-kill animal rescue/support group, incorporated in 1990, that takes in and re-homes stray, abused and owner give-up dogs and cats. Whether the animal is a give-up or a stray, HART works with local veterinarians, trainers, foster homes, and kennels to provide temporary caring for an animal until it is placed in a loving, carefully-screened new home.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill shelter dedicated to saving abandoned and abused dogs and cats. We provide rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption services in the Northern Virginia and Washington metropolitan areas.
http://www.fancycats.org/ The Fancy Cats Rescue Team is based in Herndon and was founded in 1997 by Cathy McCullough-Awad. We are a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue that operates out of the Fair Lakes PETsMART in Fairfax, Va. Since being founded, we have found loving homes for approximately 3,000 cats in the National Capital area.
http://www.fourpaws.org/ The 4Paws Rescue Team is a nonprofit community-based all volunteer organization that takes in neglected, abandoned, abused and unwanted cats and kittens. Cats rescued by 4Paws receive vaccines and appropriate veterinary care before being adopted into permanent, loving homes. An animal rescued by 4Paws will never be euthanized except out of medical necessity.
